From a young age, I learned to appreciate the beauty of Arabic calligraphy, the hypnotic melodies of the oud, and the wonderful aromas of spices in our bustling markets. My Arab roots connect me to an extended family network that values hospitality and generosity as fundamental pillars of our society. Growing up with this ethnic identity means proudly carrying the heritage of my ancestors, who have left an indelible mark on the world through their art, poetry, and advances in science and philosophy. I feel privileged to belong to a community that has known how to face challenges with resilience and that celebrates diversity in all its forms. No matter where I am in the world, my Arab roots are a constant reminder of who I am and the stories we carry with us.
